So we’ve been working hard on the audition dates and rehearsal schedules for our 2009-2010 season and I wanted to point out a couple changes.

1. Some of the shows (like RENT, BEAUTY & FIDDLER) audition and then begin rehearsals FOUR WEEKS LATER to allow time for those cast to get ready for rehearsals and make plans (as we know a play can take over your life.) We’ll try this and see how it works.

2. Some of the shows (like RENT, BEAUTY, FIDDLER, MOUSE, NELSON and JOSEPH) only rehearse for SIX WEEKS! (this is two weeks less than our shows this past season.) We hope this allows for more actors to participate as the time commitment is shorter! This was requested by many actor families and we’re trying it out!

3. We’re really trying to explain what ages/types/styles of actors/singers/dancers we need to accomplish the director’s vision for the show. So read through the audition page carefully to see if you fit the show!

4. For WONKA we will be trying a “Family Audition Time” which is for adults to audition WITH their children. We love having families involved together. This is NOT an audition time for child siblings or adult couples to audition. They should attend the other sessions.
