The cast and crew of Madeline’s Christmas will enjoy their Thanksgiving break…but on Saturday it’s back to work. The cast has a rehearsal on Saturday and then the entire cast and crew will spend Sunday at the Paramount loading in the set, doing a microphone check, setting the lights and finishing the costumes. What a busy break!

GREAT hired Rachael Balsatis to paint four 22 x 40 foot backdrops for Madeline’s Christmas. Rachael, a student at MCAD, started her artistic work at Buffalo High School and has gone on to work with GREAT on Seussical and Peter Pan.
Each backdrop is a custom reproduction of an illustration from the original work by Ludwig Bemelmans. The reproductions were created by Bonnie Bologna.

While the costume department had to make 24 matching costumes. The set department only had to make 12 matching beds.
