We just got through our auditions for Disney’s Aladdin.  174 actors braved
the snow to try out and once again…talent was overwhelming.  Over our
eleven years we’ve cast a lot of parts… but it never gets easier!  Here
are a couple things I noticed that might help anyone who auditions:

1. Keep Smiling! (many actors don’t smile during the dance audition…and
I’m not talking “cheesy smile” I’m talking a “having fun” smile.)

2. Stand With Equal Weight On Both Feet! (when acting you need control and
it starts with your feet, this one mostly surprises me with “returning
actors” who have been in shows before, but forget…)

3. Be Prepared! (yes, we notice who has worked on memorizing and who can
look up from their song or acting portion… being prepared does help!)

4. Keep Trying! (I notice kids who have not been cast with GREAT before
and they keep trying… I know there is a part for you…just keep it up!)

As always there will be a lot of new faces…and returning actors you’ve
loved from other GREAT shows… check the cast list on Friday!!!
