Hot on the heels (or should I say “plates”) of announcing the team for RENT, auditions are also coming up for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. We are excited to announce our returning team of Aladdin Jr. ALL-STARS! This team created the amazing Aladdin Jr. production seen last season onstage at the Paramount. It was a beautiful show and we are glad to have them BACK TOGETHER to bring this “tale as old as time” to the stage.
Directing will be Linda McGowan. Linda has directed Aladdin Jr., HSM2, Best Christmas Pageant Ever! and Charlotte’s Web for GREAT. She has also acted in many community theatre productions over the years. She also is Stage Managing The Producers as part of our Broadway Musical season in February!
Musical Director will be Scott Wachtler. Scott has directed the music for Aladdin Jr., Miracle on 34th Street, Disney’s Alice In Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz. He is also the author of last season’s high flying hit Peter Pan!
Choreography will be created by Britta Peterson. Britta choreographed Aladdin Jr. and HSM2 for GREAT last season. This season she will also be choreographing The Producers as part of our Broadway Musical Season. And TONIGHT (Sept 4th) she premieres her original dance work ‘Blinders and Bookshelves’ at Patrick’s Cabaret. You can still get tickets at http://www.patrickscabaret.org/.
Bringing this whole show together will be Stage Manager Elizabeth Burch, set designer Kent Homchick (we’ll report more on Kent in the blog since he is from Denver he will be travelling the farthest!), light designer Steve Moore, costumes by Brigid Borka, technical direction by John Loreth, and Jerry Ford will be training Paul Deutsch in as sound designer/operator.
