Scott Wachtler plays Miles Gloriosus.  Miles is a captain in the Roman army, he has bought Philia from Lycus…but when he comes to claim her the chaos really goes into high gear.

Scott has appeared on the GREAT stage as Horton in Seussical and Toad in A Year With Frog and Toad.  He is also a musical director for GREAT, providing the musical direction for, among others, Disney’s Aladdin and Disney’s Alice in Wonderland.

What will the audience love about this show? Scott: The cast!  They’re working hard but are just so funny.  Rick just rocks and will try anything to get a laugh.  Ted has the best reactions.  Hillary plays her part with great sarcasm.  Jon can deliver the funniest lines with the best inflections.  Hector plays his part so well he leaves you crying with laughter.  The Proteans throw themselves with such gusto at the physical comedy that I walk away with pains.  The couresans just make me giggle with their subtle naughtiness.  And David and Allison make me laugh every time they’re left alone.

Trivia: Miles Gloriosus is latin for famous or boastful soldier.  He is a stock character based on the character Pyrgopolynices from the play ‘Miles Gloriosus’ written by Plautus.
