SHOW: Pirates of Penzance
DIRECTOR: Chris Brown
MUSIC DIRECTOR: Hillary Vermillion
CHOREOGRAPHER: Molly McNeil
STAGE MANAGER: Michelle Carlson
DESCRIPTION: Aar, matey, pirates have plundered the GREAT Theatre! Come aboard for Gilbert & Sullivan’s swashbuckling musical comedy featuring pirates, parrots and perilous curses. Wacky, irreverent and as entertaining today as it was when it first opened in 1879, THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE spins a hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers, dewy-eyed daughters and an eccentric Major-General, all morally bound to the often-ridiculous dictates of honor and duty. It's Pirates of the Caribbean meets Gilbert & Sullivan - swords clash, ladies swoon and policemen sing in a spectacular event for all ages.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: ALL rehearsals will take place downtown St. Cloud at GREAT Studios. Rehearsals are tentative for Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 6-9:00pm and Saturdays 10am-3pm.
