My husband and I were in the audience for the opening night performance of "The Sound of Music." Everything about the show was wonderful! The performers, from the youngest to the oldest, all did an excellent job. These performers may not be professional actors, singers and musicians, but they certainly seemed like it. Debbie Baumgartner (Maria) has an incredibly beautiful voice with a wide range and is a great actress as well. Amber Christie (The Mother Abbess) was also wonderful, especially when she sang, "Climb Every Mountain." The nuns harmonious vocals were aesthetically pleasing. The children were perfect in their roles - their singing, acting and total cuteness. We especially liked when they all sang, "The Lonely Goatherd." The costumes looked very good and the stage was well done. The orchestra also did a really terrific job. All in all, this is a show worth seeing. In fact, anyone who misses it, will be missing one of the best shows ever.

We have one negative comment. Even though the actors got a standing ovation, and even though everyone clapped for their performances, we think the clapping should have been louder - much louder!
