BE PART OF THE STORY
Get ready to shake things up! It’s 1955, and into a square little town in a square little state arrives a charismatic young man who rides on his motorcycle from town to town with a guitar on his back, blue suede shoes on his feet, and a song in his heart. Challenging the norms and helping people discover new aspects of themselves, he changes the town for good. Lovers meet, woo, and pursue, in this lively and entertaining jukebox musical.
Filled with laughs, love, and disguises, All Shook Up is loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Combining 25 all-time favorite Elvis hits with a whole new story, this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy delivers a message about breaking free from societal expectations, opening up to love, and the joy of embracing change.

Character List & Descriptions:
A Note On Theatrical Intimacy:
Theatrical intimacy is any action on stage where the given circumstances of the scene or the overall production calls for touch, both physical and imaginative, or moments between actors of simulated sexuality or sexual violence.
GREAT has been learning from Intimacy Directors & Coordinators (IDC) to improve processes and incorporate safer practices for theatrical intimacy in our rehearsals.
All scenes with intimacy follow a specific set of staging and rehearsal protocols rooted in consent and safety for the actors. Characters who engage in staged physical intimacy are indicated in character descriptions. Please note that all named characters engage in some form of staged intimacy (most involve a kiss) and ensemble roles entail some level of touch with partner dance.
