Thank you for your interest in being part of backstage crew! There are a variety of roles available and all are just as critical as the roles that are in the spotlight on the stage performing. A description for each crew position is below – no previous experience is necessary and we will provide training for you to be successful and comfortable in your role on crew. Whether you’re a seasoned crew member or you’ve never been backstage before, we encourage you to sign up!

KEY DATES

Information Session: November 17th from 7-8pm (via Zoom)

Cast Meeting: Wednesday, December 13th (6pm – 9pm)

Rehearsals: Every Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday (6-9pm) and some Saturdays (10am-3pm) starting on January 6th. Please note that not everyone is called for every rehearsal.

Tech/Dress Rehearsals: February 24th-27th (5-10pm)

CREW POSITIONS

STAGE/PROPS CREW (1 Needed)
Stage/Props Crew is responsible for managing both the technical scenic elements and props of productions, ensuring a seamless performance. Duties include presetting scenic elements and props, sweeping and mopping the stage, and ensuring all props and furniture are correctly placed before the show. During performances, the crew moves scenic elements for scene shifts, assists actors with props, and executes scene changes efficiently. This role requires close coordination with the Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and physical ability to handle stage elements and props.. 

WARDROBE CREW (2 Needed)
Wardrobe crew is responsible for the care and maintenance of all the finished costumes. They make sure that the costumes are prepped and ready before the cast arrives, provide assistance to the actors in dressing rooms and backstage, help with minor repairs, and assist with costume changes. At the end of the night, they launder the costumes appropriately according to the Costume Designer and Costume Shop Manager.
