You may have seen the call for additional medical caps and masks as there is a shortage across the country due to the COVID19 pandemic. We connected with Stearns County Health to see how we could help support our local medical professionals during this crisis.
Our costume staff put together 40 material kits (containing pattern, fabric, elastic, and directions to make 4 caps/masks). They even fire tested each piece of fabric to make sure it was cotton, as that was the type of fabric we were told to use. Volunteers picked up the kits from our friends at Crafts Direct one day, sewed them at home, and dropped their finished products off the following day at River’s Edge Convention Center for Stearns County Health to collect and distribute as needed.
