“Being in a show at The Paramount is on my bucket list! I don’t have a dream to be an actor or anything, but I wanted to try this and I got in! I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do the play or not, but my mom encouraged me to try … and she said it’d be good bonding if we did it together. So I thought about it, and decided I would try out!
I was diagnosed with Autism when I was two years old. I fidget a lot, so I was nervous for the audition. My mom helped me work on my lines. Most of the time it’s pretty easy for me to memorize things – especially because I’m so smart. I’m in honors algebra and plan to be a Mechanical Engineer.
I was a little embarrassed when my mom told the directors that I have Autism, but moms can be embarrassing. I don’t mind telling people about my Autism – it’s good for people to know. I’m having a lot of fun in the show and have laughed a lot!”
